Fander is one of three Arwen brothers living in Roo. He has spent much of his life as a slave or near-slave, yet he is remarkably educated and speaks with unusually advanced language.
He is intensely curious, positive and quick-witted. He notices small details, reads people well, listens closely and follows questions other people ignore. He is culturally minded and interested in music, theatre and anything strange enough to deserve a second look.
Fander is socially fearless. He talks to strangers readily and often brings a playful, spontaneous or lightly comic energy into tense situations.
The bloodline
Fander carries the Drianor bloodline without knowing it. His blood can awaken functioning Vanir machinery, control it and shut it down again. Once a machine has been awakened, other people may be able to use accessible controls, but the Drianor bloodline is what gives the machine its initial activation.
The exact relationship between Fander and Drianor remains unknown.
