Triport

For generations the sea meant distance. Now it brings the wider world to Roo's shore.

Triport is an established coastal city of Roo and one of the clearest places to feel the kingdom's return to a wider world.

Nearly two thousand years ago, the disappearance of the moon was followed by rising, violently unstable seas. Roo became isolated. The sea only became broadly navigable again around a century before the present story, reopening routes that had been effectively lost for generations.

The ships from Varren

In the present day, a powerful fleet from Varren arrives in Roo with ships far larger than those familiar to the kingdom and with a more organized military culture behind them. Publicly, the encounter can look like diplomacy, conversation and trade. Privately, Varren is also searching for knowledge about Roo's unusually well-preserved ancient ruins, forgotten gods and the legendary Drianor bloodline.

Triport therefore sits at a threshold: Roo is no longer sealed away, while the people arriving from across the sea do not yet fully understand what this northern country has preserved.

What is known — and what is not

The exact streets, districts and civic history of Triport are not yet fixed in canon. This record deliberately leaves those details open. What is established is its place in Roo, its coastal role, and its importance as the wider world returns by sea.
